A lonely soul looking for gold

On this dusty road

Where his parents told him to go

Paved by the words of his elders

From the past world

Parents make you chase their dreams

Because they couldn't reach their goals

They force you to make their decisions

Instead of making your own

Go to college

Be in debt from student loans

And make it on your own

But you don't know

What you wanna do

Because you've been taught to do

What they want you do

It's the sad truth

We all experience it even you

Most of the time our parents follow

Theirs

It's a cycle that brings sadness to the air

It's not fair

That we have to live our lives

Trying to solve the problems with the world that their generation couldn’t

But who wouldn't wanna solve the world's puzzles

But the media puts a muzzle on our ideas

We have to stay quiet

So we have to keep it in private

Whether we like it or not

So it's our job

To break the cycle

They sleeping on me

Like they took some Nyquil

I'm spreading a message of truth

We have to find our path

And forget the past

So where your mind at?

I figured out where mine at

A piece of mind I wouldn't mind that

Your soul stores gold, but where the mine at

You need to find that

Be yourself and enjoy that
