There is a graveyard that I like to visit

Goes way back in time

Historically it is a bit controversial

But I live in Georgia, I was not surprised

The oldest one there is from 1811

The name is long gone

There are some graves where the names have rubbed off

And so many more with no name at all

I like to sit on the bench and read

And I talk out loud to the people there

'Cause I'd want the same if it were me

I went on my birthday and it was so pretty

It's right by a field and a lake

I did some research and they're not all Confederates

And somewhere on the property there's a mass grave

I think I wanna be buried when I die

I wanna get put in a graveyard

With other graves lined up next to mine

'Cause I don't think they're lonely

But I'm not sure they care either way

And they do make good company

And I'd like to think they feel the same
