I grew patient pushing on

Im not wrong to second guess

My hairs a mess

My shirts undone

I lose my balance and

Stumble thru the door to match your gaze

Of queens and palaces

I see war residing on your face

If it dont kill u im amazed

Ur nothing more than flesh and bone

I draw the sigil

Let it sit

I sacrifice your weight in gold

And draw the peasant ‘crossed a board

And stake the witness if they speak

And what u can't afford

Is to tell the widow that her husbands weak

The chapel been built outta drywall and gin

So the princess smiles when the wolves comе in

Everyone left but thе candle burns

And the curtain closes

And youre left with

No words-

Then the curtain rises

Audience cheers and the lights are blinding

Incense smells like gasoline

And they shout “encore!” at tragedy

I know you’ve prayed to mirrors

Confess into a bucket while the wolves have held ur hair

The queen will never kneel in public

Only stand tall

It really helps her sell the spell

Sigil in the script, every line rehearsed

Sign it with a symbol, let the oath decay

Never heard an actress is over worked

And they get much more for what they never say

If you’ve survived id be amazed-

Stumbled thru the door to match your gaze

Queens and palaces

I see war residing on your face
