(I don’t trust nobody, I have no reason to)

Shouldn’t trust nobody that’s what I learned from school

I used to spend 8 hours, in a concrete room

Learning stuff I’ll never use but all teachers wanted me to

I'm tryna find the truth, in this cold dark world

I don’t take advice

You people can’t tell wrong from right

Y’all tryna redirect my life

I’m speeding through the crimson light

I live and die by life at night

I’ve had too many sleepless nights

To stare up at the ceiling watching time pass, doing nothing

So I got up out of bed and started doing something

Starin' at the stars

Letting inspiration hit me like 30-06 to my ribcage

Sometimes the thoughts that come to me

Are darker than the shadows

In the corner of my room

Look away for a second

Look back the shadows moved

I’m so removed from the people that surround me

That I can’t help but feel the darkness closing in around me

I tried to hide away but then the shadows came and found me

(Y’all steady tryna fuck up my mental

But I been fucked in the head

Since 'bout 2 thousand-whatever

I used to)

Wish I was dead, but now I’m all like whatever

I’ll live my best til' my time comes

I’m on another planet, I can watch my soul unravel

I went from kicking cans to rock-and-roll on dirt and gravel

I went from internal struggles to living nightmares

I kicked my demons ass, I’m still living right here

When the people gonna learn they need to think for themself?

Too dependent on the praise we get from everyone else

Throwing caution to the wind or let it sit on the shelf

If I was ever under-confident I wouldn't be here

Because the microphone's a tool to let the darkness divide

Because I realize my realignment comes from inside

Let my motivation come from an interior source

And only then will all my aspirations run their course
