Where Evil Dwells

By Extremity

On Coffin Birth

Thumbnail

Down beyond the cemetery lawn, there lies a place accursed and fraught with woe

Spirits speak, unholy visions bleak, where preachers, children, creatures dare not go

That cursed place, where evil dwells – where witches dance and fuck and raise the dead

That wicked place, that place of spells – where wizardly and weirding words are said

Cosmic womb, uterine tomb – betray the stars an heir of lunar death

Rest in scorn, cemetery born – A whisper gone unheard on dying breath

Soaked in gore, the one that they abhor – Swollen, stinking, sick with rotting seed

Die alone, conjurer and crone – They spit upon the Earth at her misdeeds

Backwards birth, digging in the earth - To place the farmer’s daughter in the ground

Sink the stave, mark the witch’s grave – No prayer spoken for the Hades-bound

End of life, the dead man’s wife – Coffin desecrated, casket cold

Mold and moss, the sign of the cross – death unconsecrated, widow soul

That cursed place, where evil dwells – where witches dance and fuck and raise the dead

That wicked place, that place of spells – where wizardly and weirding words are said

No sign of life, no beating heart

No words of love or wisdom to impart

No friendly faces to avail

No final fucking fairy-tale

Down beyond the cemetery lawn, there lies a place accursed and fraught with woe

Spirits speak, unholy visions bleak, where preachers, children, creatures dare not go
