Counting the days living on this island

I talk to myself to escape the boredom

I know it's hard out here alone

I know it's hurting you

But cutting corners skipping beats

Won't help you see this through

It's been so long since I've said the words

Love you so much even when you're the worst

We could be here for awhile

So we should build a home

Maybe if i close my eyes -

I won't feel so alone

Sick of being so damned patient every night

Tell me when your boy is gonna get a break!

I don't really know if it's all worth the trying

Or if i should close my eyes enjoy the wait

Can't stand crowds - can't stand anyone!

The irony is I can't be alone

I know it's hard to know yourself

I know it's hurting you

But cutting corners, skipping beats

Won't help you see this through

Sick of being so damned patient every night

Tell me when your boy is gonna get a break

I don't really know if it's all worth the trying

Or if i should close my eyes enjoy the wait

I met someone - he's a volleyball

I named him Wilson - now i'm not so alone!

Call me crazy if you want to

Call me what you will

Living in my own head turns out

Is the cheapest thrill
