Where do I begin?

How could I start?

How could I tell you all I know

When all that's left to look at

Is a soul in a state of tatters and woe?

We weren't always here

We started with so much dignity

It’s long lost

From the start when we were young

We sensed but never dared to find

What lies within

So stand alone

Stand free from the eyes of your own

What's the point in dignity anyway

When you've just shed your second skin?

This is not me giving in

I will not default to sufferance

This is my tale I'll tell

In hopes, you never feel how I felt

I look around as the crowd falls from beneath me

Many mirrors are facing each other

Echoing echoes

An obscurant stands in the middle

And at once I see the problem

Purposeless murmurs and

Mindless whispers

Nothing changed

All the same

All remains

Don't they know that nothing great could ever come

From such a lack of care?

And as a whole, we think of nothing

The hive sees no mechanism for change

Yet as one we can go far beyond the public’s state of mind

One thought can change it all

Insight could break our fall

Senseless affinity

Driven to their thought by nothing

But the spirit we thought was dead

So long ago

Take a step back

Tell me all you see

Does it make you smile?

Or does it bring you down to your fucking knees?
