Drake’s parents divorced when he was 5 years old, resulting in him being raised by his mother in Toronto. Meanwhile, his father lived in Memphis, where Drake decided to shoot the video for “Worst Behavior”

Drake is doing nothing to impress those around him. Everything that he’s doing between music, acting, and whatever else is to take him and those closest to him to the top. He already alluded to that in “Tuscan Leather”, his longest introduction track on an album.

Drizzy made 10.5 million this year along, being one of the Forbes 2013 Cash Kings, Aubrey is doing a pretty good job of taking care of his blood.

Not to mention the reference to Take Care, his album that won a trophy, (Grammy), for hip hop album of the year

A similar line was used by Chance The Rapper on Lil Wayne’s 2013 track “You Song”:

Drake is defending himself, saying that he’s not all about love songs or being sad songs, he’s more than that, or even less.

Most likely referring to the 12,500-square-foot, $7.7 million dollar, Hidden Hills, California mansion that he purchased in 2012.

This mansion has it all: waterfalls, a pool with a grotto, soaring ceilings with arched wood beams, a hot tub with an adjacent fireplace, a built-in library, game room, wine cellar, and a home theater.

This may be a response to Kat Stacks (a stripper whose hobbies include exposing rappers) when she went off on several YMCMB members, claiming they all live together.

Club Dreams is a strip club located in Houston, Texas. According to this list, it is ranked #5 in all of Houston.

It’s no secret that Drake enjoys going to strip clubs, he enjoys making it rain as well. He brought a suitcase full of money just to do so.

Club Dreams entendre aside, he’s also saying he’s living his dreams. You pack a suitcase to go somewhere you will be staying (indefinitely or permenantly), so he will remain living the dream. From a business perspective, the suitcase could also symbolize making a deal or coming to an agreement so he goes to dreams with a suitcase to make his dreams a reality (which he’s successfully accomplished).

Referring to his mixtape-era, songs with Trey Songz (like “Replacement Girl”) and other notable hits such as “Uptown” and “Successful” that were played on Toronto area radio before he even had a deal.

Alternately, he had tracks produced by Hit-Boy on his demo.

In one of the trailers for Nothing Was the Same where Drake accepts his Grammy Award, he asks what the formula for his success has been? Is it his youth? Pure luck? Well, he seems to have found what it is. Happiness and Simplicity.

Also continues the Wu Tang shouts from the NWTS recording process, playing off “Can It Be All So Simple” from “Enter The Wu-Tang (36 Chambers)”.

“Intercontinental Hotels & Resorts” is a brand of luxury hotels. Drake doesn’t stay there because it all comes together at the condo

The Intercontinental is on the low end of luxury hotels. When Drake stays at a hotel it’s only at the top hotels.

As he rapped in “5AM in Toronto”:

And guess who had the most Top 10s on the Hot 100 chart in 2013? Yes, Drizzy!

Atypical of Drake, he usually makes songs about missing his ex’s, love, or sensitive style songs such as, “Doing It Wrong,” “Shot For Me” and “Find Your Love”.

He is stating how this song is quite the opposite. It’s about hittin' it and quitting it, with a stripper at that.
