There’s a popularly used concept where someone in conflict is faced with two decisions. In these two decisions, there’s an angel and a devil supporting each one of these decisions.
D-Rae annotates how he’s at a figurative crossroad with these two choices, with the devil on his left telling him suicide, by cutting open his wrists is the path he should take.
D-Rae had referenced his inspiration from various artists with some including Aries, Juice WRLD and Iann dior. These artists are heavy with the use of 808s, reverberations and echoes in songs which in turn, influenced D-Rae’s use of these elements when making songs.
He also points out the fact that listening to these songs help phase him out of reality and keep him in a state where he can’t worry about all the problems he’s facing.
D-Rae may also be hinting at the album name and how echoes mixed with 808s are a remedy to his current state of worry
Following the aforementioned lines, D-Rae references the angel on his right shoulder, implying that the angel said he should keep moving on and see the brighter things that can come out of life
