SwizZz is making clear here that Funk Volume is the group to be in. They are different and he is calling them ‘that’ clique.

In the background you hear Busta Rhymes' famous adlib which is also the name of the song “Woo Hah”.

SwizZz makes it clear that when he writes lyrics, he always knows the references behind them, and regarding the previous line:

“It’s sad the fans got accustomed to accepting less”

he makes the point that fans of hip hop will be satisfied with any sort of wordplay, even though it may not be clever, or creative. If he keeps making references people won’t understand, then the public won’t like it, or get it, so he dumbs it down.

Wordplay: “They say I’m out of LINE, but you niggas is not a ROUND”.

That aside, what it means is that people are saying that he’s out of line, or is misbehaving, being rude, etc., when they’re not even close to him, paying attention to what he’s doing.

If they don’t know how he is or what he does, how can they judge him?

When SwizZz says this line it could mean multiple things:

A Funtion could be talking about a party or little “get-together”, so while your in the middle of it, so once SwizZz kicks your door down “the parties over”, or in other words, SwizZz is calling you out on your shit.

Also the other meaning would be function. As in the verb function. As in your human body function. So to put an end to your function, means to put an end to you.

And yes, There Will Be Blood.

Dizzy Wright is calling out SwizZzle with wordplay that SwizZz himself uses quite often (for instance his YouTube channel). He does this by dissembling or/and repeating words to create something like ‘SwizZzleFish’.

This is a rhetorical question made by Dizzy. He doesn’t really ask you a question but he expects you to already know the answer!

The answer to the question must be ofcourse Dizzy and his homies from FunkVolume (Hopsin, Jarren Benton, image below*)

With ‘bringing the flavor to your ear’ he means what you listen to everyday, and what your ear enjoys to listen to. So basically the songs that you enjoy.

The line specifically makes a reference to a Bad Boy single “Flava in ya Ear” with Craig Mack, Biggie, Rampage, LL, and Busta, by the way.

When Swizz says “So I’m back on my grizzly”, he is saying that he is back to work on his hot shit. Later in the line he says “with the Valley state of mind” which refers to California and where he lives. Also, this could be a reference to the California “Grizzly” Bear (on the state flag) which is extinct.

Dizzy hits us with some wordplay. “For the record” has a triple meaning.

1) He wants us to know (for the record) he is going all in.

2) Dizzy also says that he is all in on this record/song.

3) He is saying that Funk Volume’s music, whether it is played on music players or bumped in cars is changing and getting better.

The mainstream industry and all the wack rappers had their chance, they blew it, now Funk Volume (Dizzy and SwizZz’s independent record label) is taking over the rap game.

2013 is a heavy year on Funk Volume, previously Jarren Benton released his studio album debut “My Grandma’s Basement”, the 19th August Dizzy releases his mixtape “The Goldenage” and possible his 2nd studio album or EP and the 26th November Hopsin drops his long waited “Knock Madness”.
Also SwizZz seems to be back after releasing “Zoom In”.
