Diesel feels that his aspirations are too big. So big in fact – that he feels discouraged from the thought that he may never be able to reach them. Thus feeling “tortured” because his aspirations will likely always remain slightly out of grasp.
These days too many people are scared to be bad at something. This fear of being amateur holds people back from even starting things. People will find themselves longing to try a new activity but too focused on what others may think of them. In order to become great at something, you have to be willing to be bad at it for a while. Fully submit to the experience and let it humble you. You will learn and grow.
