[Verse 1]

I know I ain't the most popular

And I don’t have the most friends

Weekend parties I don’t attend, cause I don’t really blend

So it’s me that I fend and it’s me I befriend

Ain't that the reason I feel like a ghost

Living independent, my soul is a lone wolf

Seeing someone who used to mean the world to me

And knowing now that they don’t even care ‘bout me

When I see your face memories show

But now you’re just somebody that I used to know

It’s hard to see people come and go

Especially if it only happened a few days ago

Don’t wanna end up as a textbook, story, or sculpture

Wanna live on through lives, society, and the culture

Don’t wanna be known for my deeds

What was significant about me

[Hook]

I hope people will remember me

Not as a myth, legend, or for my legacy

But remember me as a person

Cause in our society that happens so rarely

I hope people will remember me

Although I know I might’ve not been seen

But if they do wouldn't that be a blessing

Cause now I know they remember me

[Verse 2]

Look, it’s that kid who raps

It’s that kid who dresses up in all black

But I don’t really have a clue of who he is

So why don’t we just leave it at that

Is there something about me that’s intimidating

Is there something about me that’s ugly

Why don’t y’all let me know now

So I don’t have to keep wondering what this is all about

Then there are the people who think they know me

Just cause they saw me once or I went to the same elementary

You could be liking and posting on my Facebook

But that don’t mean you know me not in my book

Getting judged for who I am or what I do

Maybe it’s time you placed your feet in my shoes

Or maybe you should stop looking from the outside

And start looking through the inside
