Silenced

Oppressed by her own

A vague shadow of repressed intellect

Cast into a life of antiquated traditions

Grandfathered ideals

Battered and ostracized for rejecting archaic rhetoric

Just another independent mind

Powerless and unheard

Living her life

With a plastic grin of hope

Patient for nuance

Wallowing in the realization

The isolation consumes her

In perpetual contradiction

Binding a sense of guilt

For rationale

In distress

A distaste for the contemporaries

Options receding

Longing for alleviation

The idiosyncrasies of a land stuck out of time

Leaving one helpless in the eyes of the xenophobe

Nowhere to turn for solace and closure

She took her own life

Without explanation

Another victim of malicious intent

One of thousands claimed throughout time

By an unknown force that feeds off injustice

Interpreted as auditory and visual delusion

Empathy lost in the division

In a mere attempt to diagnose

Disdain for existence

But being cast into indentured servitude

A trans-dimensional being reigns

Throughout the cosmos

The desponder

Existing in the void

Perpetually un-willfully examining the minds

The chemically imbalanced disenfranchised ostracized

Begging for silence

To be set offline

Awoken from euphoria

No longer threatened

I sit in place as I gaze at the sky

The cold air absorbing through my skin

Through my skin

And I realized through peace of mind

I am alone

For just this moment

I am alone, alone
