It seemed like just another day

Everything the same

Children were playing in the streets

Grateful for cooling rain

No sign of warning

Silently building

The purveyor of our opulence

Claiming, victims, while they sleep

Crashing, eroding, it's shamshing, destroying

Clinging, caught in the flow

Try to find something a raft amidst the torn debris

Basically anything to stay afloat
