This world is a prison

Carefully concocted to create

More exquisite forms of suffering

It has enticements that lure them in

Asking them to stay

Make them afraid of taking their own lives

So that they won't leave

They will kill over petty differences

Exponentially magnifying the suffering

Still we chose annihilation

Since I've known of squalor we live in

I’ve known a bleak future

We've known for too long

That our greed will devour us

We take inefficient steps in world improvement

A placebo effect to remove the guilt

I think of humanity with abhorrence

We need a new plague
