Red

Somebody turned the sky to grey

Somebody came, they took my color away

And as I look around there's little word

Of black and white and red

It could be monotone

But it's not quite there yet

No no

Nobody told me they'd be here

Nobody said that there'd be no one left

If the party's over it's a shame nobody said

We color this city

I need to paint it red

Oh oh

Give me gold

And it's red I see it, what silver means to me

Like the perfect dawn in every morning

The fire beneath my feet

Like looking down on the rusty crown

Of an auburn-headed queen

And it's red I see

Why would you smile at me right now?

Why would you laugh at me? My world is upside down

If I were you I'd turn your back

And bow your simple head

You'll rue the day you laughed at me

And turned my blue sky red

Give me gold

And it's red I see it, what silver means to me

Like the perfect dawn in every morning

The fire beneath my feet

Like looking down on the rusty crown

Of an auburn-headed queen

And it's red I see

I don't know why

They wanted to

Stop me

They think the love I knew

Don't [incomprehensible]

Come fly with me

And take this [incomprehensible]

Eternally

The United States of America has this afternoon

Come under widespread terrorist attack

Two airplanes

Have crashed into the World Trade Center

In an apparent terrorist attack

This mass terrorism

Is the new evil in our world today

There's people jumping out of windows

I seen at least 14 people jumping out of windows

It's horrific, I can't believe this is happening

A tremendous number of lives have been lost [1]

And the time will come to carry on

The lead sky will invade

And those we love will rise above

To smile again one day

In the fire these brothers, sisters and lovers

Remember where they lay

But you and I wonder why

Never forget

Don't color me red

Red

Don't color me red

Red

Don't color me red

Don't see me red

Don't color me red
