When I was 16 I got a girlfriend

We were together for many years

We really loved each other and we

Lived together too

But now it's been a while

I've always been all alone since

Since we broke up

Not spending time

With someone else

I guess that is the way things will be

When you're living your life

Just like me

Some people tell me one day things will

Suddenly just change

I'll find another meaning too

Outside myself

But they don't know me

Like I know myself

And they haven't seen the things I've seen
