Dave is saying that in his previous line of illegal work, the “times [he] was selling green,” he took many risks that could have cost him his life or resulted in major profit.

Reference to Tekken character Kazuya Mishima, who is known for having iron fists. Dave explains that when real beef goes down certain people will run and hide.

“Iron in fist” is also a metaphor for guns in their hands.

Dave sees a hot girl across the room, and instead of going up to her all he needs to do is wink. With his fame and success she knows who he is and that’s all it takes.

Dave was risking his freedom, doing deeds that could put him in jail all to buy material goods.

This is Dave saying that he gets with girls away from his own abode so their boyfriends who he may be in beef with don’t know where he lives.

Dave was on the roads taking risks (i.e committing robberies) when he could have died, gone to jail or made a lot of money.

Some what alluding to what Stormzy spit in a 2014 Fire in the Booth Cypher. Dave is also claiming that those in the older generation need to move on as they are stuck in the same dead situation they have been in for years. They only hate because Dave and co are doing well in life

Here, Dave is reminiscing about his past and thinking whether the risk he took to obtain good such as “a chain and a watch” by illegal means was worth it or not. It is also liked to the previous line.

Squares are credit cards. When Dave says he puts money in squares, he is referring to his old life where he used to transfer money fraudulently.

Dave knows what he’s doing, he’s not new to this life so he mocks those who call him an amateur with this line.

An indirect is when you tweet something about someone without tagging them, so people can guess who it’s about. Dave sees these and knows which ones are about him. He thinks they’re just tweeting for girls to message them asking who it’s about or to get them talking.

Reference to Naruto Shippūden character, Madara Uchiha, well known for the Six Paths plot within the series. Dave explains how his life could have taken many different paths if it wasn’t for him finding an escape in music.

Lei Wulong is a fictional character from the fighting video game series Tekken. The “bottle in hand” refers to Lei’s fighting style, Zui Quan, also known as Drunken Fist.
