[Verse 1]

On an earth now, where a distant land is too easy to touch

Still don't know what it was

Know what it is?

Always in a rush

To get where, to get there?

And then we get hushed

Now, is this fair?

Swept up in the current

We've lost all relation

Just lost in translation

Yet we keep on racing

Somewhere in complacency

We cannot face it

Yet we seem so unphased

What we chose to create

This wait... This isn't our fate

Screaming, lemme be great!

While I move these peasants out the way

Present tense isn't here to stay

In these last days, last thing on my mind

Is not whatcha say

But more how you say it

This legacy here is to elevate

Leave a couple words down here

But just for debate

Knew what it takes

And I've known what this took

I could leave you a page

Make you fiend for the book

I stumbled on foot through the soot

And they overlooked

Maybe should've stayed put

But instead I shook

Wrote a fairy tale about a far away land

Outstretched a hand and then felt born again

Shed the horns, embraced the sins

Learned to accept this place that some feel stuck in

Only one who's truly enlightened

He has nothing

Just knowledge to give

Yet he's trapped in the sunken

Then all of a sudden

There is an eruption

Epiphany, that overshadows corruption

Hear ye and then I'm on to something...
