I’m not asking for better times

Just take me back to that hallow’s eve when I was nine

I heard thriller and it changed my life

Dad put on some Freddy

I covered my eyes traumatized

Couldn’t stand the pain but now I don’t mind

The Halloween after Sandy postponed til November

Met my first love then

That was September but now its October

My rooms getting colder

Life getting hotter and not from the lighter but from the pressure of knowing that I’m still alive

I keep lying about changes

Like I wish I could change em

Like I wish I could save em

But that would be another lie

This apology’s bloated

I can’t stomach this time

My selfish point: I’d rather hide than rectify, rather not try

The fact and truth of this complacence is I’m too big of a coward to go through my life on a day to day basis

I wish everyday were Halloween so I wouldn’t feel ashamed being the same fucking monster everyday of the week

Never gonna hurt you like I hurt myself this time

Never gonna hurt you like I hurt myself this time

Never gonna hurt you like I hurt myself this time

Never gonna hurt you like I hurt myself this time

Can you stand to watch me cry?

If it takes the pressure away I’ll do it for us every time

Never gonna hurt you like I hurt myself this time

Can you stand to watch me cry?

If it takes the pressure away I’ll do it for us every time

Never gonna hurt you like I hurt myself this time

Can you stand to watch me cry?

If it takes the pressure away I’ll do it for us every time

Never gonna hurt you like I hurt myself this time

Can you stand to watch me cry?

If it takes the pressure away I’ll do it for us every time

Never gonna hurt you like I hurt myself this time
