In second grade, I didn't like dolls

I like to ride on my skateboard

My dad was confused and he'd say

"Did God get you wrong?"

I didn't know what to tell him

I was just seven years old

Now that I'm older, oh, I've been wondering

Was he onto something?

Maybe I'm just an alien fallen to Earth

I try to fit in but there's so much to learn

I'm so scared for the day that somebody finds out what I am

When I was ten, there was a boy

I said that I had a crush on

But that was a lie for my friends

And when he found out

We had a talk in the backyard

Our friendship was never the same

Now that I'm oldеr, I think I knew

He's differеnt too

Maybe I'm just an alien fallen to Earth

I try to fit in but there's so much to learn

I'm so scared for the day that they're all gonna know what I am

I am sweet, I am kind, do my best all the time

There are things I regret and sometimes I forget

I'm not made perfectly, but I'm perfectly me

And I'm starting to love all the things that I am
