And life’s got me feeling kinda stuck

I walk around the town where I grew up

See the same ten faces every day

And just watch them getting more decayed

There’s a girl who’s at the coffee shop

She gets high and has her hair shaved off

She’s been sitting there for seven years

Just soaking up in all the fear

And there’s a guy who’s at the grocery store

Who’s spent his whole life wanting more

He’s been writing lovе songs for his wife

But she left him in thе dead of night

I wanna strengthen all these memory’s

We drag around this misery

I wanna wipe out our history

If we appeared in another city

And I decided things just weren’t enough

While I was daydreaming of getting fucked

And I was staring at the ceiling fan

But I imagined being in Japan

Because I want no one to notice me

Because I wish my life was a mystery

And if this is the only remedy

Then I’ll create that fucking fantasy

Were there’ll be no more shame from waking up

And there’ll be no more shaking on the bus

And there’ll be no more shivering with lust

And there’ll be no more social media

If I could fly all the way to Tokyo

If I could run to San Francisco

I would be out of here so fucking fast

I’d commit a disappearing act
