Steppin' off this plane and walking from this gate

To see what this city has to offer

The people that I see and the looks that I receive

Seems they never laid eyes on a wanderer

After the work gets through and they close down this venue

We'll be headed out to see the lights

Down by Times Square but these sights don't compare

To this view of mine

All the ivory towers crowding us has got me in a haze

And I'd be morе than pleased if I could spend thе rest of my days

Trapped here in this chilling, concrete filled town

Spend my Monday mornings coming down

Spinning across this dance floor in this pint sized room

Has got me thinking all the years I spent not knowing you

Until the lights come on and we drift our separate ways

Our memories will stand firm in this place

All the ivory towers crowding us has got me in a haze

And I'd be more than pleased if I could spend the rest of my days

Trapped here in this chilling, concrete filled town

Spend my Monday mornings coming down

All the miles that I've made and the places that I've seen

Are everything and more than all I ever dreamed

And I'll rise in the morning

When my feet hit the ground

And I'll be headed west

Monday morning coming down
