Fifth grade is when I must have learned about vapes

Although that whole year was kinda a blur

Not because I was high or had friends or went to parties or did drugs or had dates

Or was having sex or drinking liqueur

Real life's not a PSA

Where everything is scripted and sound

If real life were a PSA

I wouldn't have gotten this from the ground

They would come up to me to say

I haven't seen you around

But real life's not a PSA

And I got this from the ground

There's a part of me that wants to vape for fun

But not to be cool or imprеss 5th grade me

I want to vape to havе vaped, to say that it's done

To tell off the commercials and society

Is that why I'm here? To subvert the tropes?

To help the masses learn the ropes

That people are more complex than teenage media presents

Because musicals and TV and, yes, ads I resent
