[Verse 1]
So isolated, I talk to the voice in my head
So isolated, my body is taking a leave
So isolated, I don't wanna let people see
My isolation is simple and stupid as me
Don't crowd me out 'cause I am not a shell
I burned myself when I was running hell
[Chorus]
Don't let go, don't let go
Everybody knows
Don't let go, don't let go
Everybody shows
[Verse 2]
So isolated, I talk to the voice in my head
So isolated, my body is taking a leave
I sit alone, I hope that you can't tell
I'm dripping guilty, hide away and melt
[Chorus]
Don't let go, don't let go
Everybody knows
Don't let go, don't let go
Everybody shows
[Chorus]
Don't let go
Everybody knows
Don't let go, don't let go
Everybody shows
Don't let go, don't let go
Everybody knows
Don't let go, don't let go
Everybody shows
When asked if the idea of solitude here is more self-love or self-hatred, Clementines explains it comes across both ways on purpose:
I like my solitude. I love it. But I feel guilty about it. I feel I shouldn’t ever be alone and that guilt turns into self-hatred. If there was no social pressure to not spend a significant time alone maybe I would feel differently about it. Maybe I wouldn’t, but I do feel guilty sometimes and that results in this feeling of self-hatred for sure.
