[INTRO: Chanda Mbao]

I come from a far away land called Zambia. I am here today to speak to you about my talent – a talent for using words to make people feel...a talent that is rare and not normally expressed in this manner in my part of the world. A talent that is...Epic

[Verse 1: Chanda Mbao]

Decades ago a legend was born

He was put on this earth to spread an art form

To perform, break norms and blow his own horn

It was written and all whack cats had been warned

More than a thorn in your side

I’m the lord of the rhymes

The Lord of all, gave me talent divine

I'm a born conqueror, noble warrior of rap

For my art, I should be Nobel laureate, in fact

I’m a chosen one, yes, it’s been said

For proof, check the flames coming from my head

I’m a hip hopper, not a Harry Potter

You don’t have to see saliva to know I spit proper

So listen, deeper than you did before

Don’t skim across the surface, touch the sea floor

Most rappers up and down, like a see-saw

But CCM will blow like C4

[Poem 1: Chanda Mbao]

Decades ago a legend began, destiny chose a legacy for an unborn man

The stars descended in a splash of light to mark his birth from a blessed woman

He was to bear an unmatched talent, he was to be the saviour of a legend called hip-hop

His name was: Chanda Mbao

[Verse 2: Chanda Mbao]

This is epic like Sparta versus the Persians

I’m epic, my flow is matched by no earthling

My wording is perfect, look beyond the surface

I always spit truth, so each verse is a sermon

They say, the pen is mightier than the sword

So, be afraid when you see what I’ve drawn

My metaphor: this is lyrical fencing

I jab at weak rappers, so they call me offensive

This is epic, like Homer’s odyssey, honestly

I should stop rapping cause it’s bad for the economy

There’s no competition cause I create a monopoly

And once I get going, nobody’s stopping me

CCM, I have a talent with a words

CCM, I craft magical verse

CCM, I have a talent with words

You say you have the same talent

I guess it is hasn’t emerged

[Poem 2: Chanda Mbao]

In one of the great mysteries of chance, this man was to cross paths with a court of knights

And on a starry night, magic would be made

Eventually, he would emerge as a brilliant change

His name was: Chanda Mbao

[Verse 3: Chanda Mbao]

This is epic, intrepid, rappers better respect it

If I said it, I meant it and there’s no way I’ll regret it

So if I say you can’t beat me, you just need to accept it

You just need to retire, start collecting your pension

Cause I’m legendary, in other words I'm chosen

Hip-hop chose me, like God chose Moses

I’m an epic man, pen in hand, I’m a beast

Spitting epigrams, yes I said it man, feel the heat

I’m blazing, you can’t match the degrees

Even if I stop rap, I’ll get a master’s degree

So that’s the definition of MC

One that reaches the top and maintains his prestige

So please, It's not my fault that I am a legacy

The universe did it, so you can blame destiny

Each verse constructed is a wonder like the pyramids

Pharaoh of rap so you will have to deal with it

[Poem 3: Chanda Mbao]

As a shining example to the colossal mass of dreamers

He proved that destiny was the ultimate force of the universe

He proved that he was golden, that he was chosen – he had a calling

His name was: Chanda Mbao
