A mask put on his face

It’s dark all over the place

The old theatre where opera shows where held

A black shadow that walks

Remembering, lost in thought

You could see the old man

Moved, hidden in the dark

His great amazement led him

To try costumes and wigs

And to impersonate figures from his fantasy

Lights lit on the stage

And as only public

Silent walls, unspoken complicity

But this night is the last

Although it seemed immortal

Who decided?

This place

So empty

Fills me with infinite sadness

This place once full of life

Is now just full of dust

Abandoned to its fate

It is time to say goodbye and reach the last act
