Ascending up the mountain

To a golden globe that shines in the sky

Dip your hands into the fountain

Filled with the blood of those who've died

In these desert winds there blows

A tune of anguish and sorrow

Under the beating sun burning your back

It has become too late to turn back

Plagued by unreal visions

As you reach for the summit

The vultures await your slip

Yet you can foresee your

Immortality pure

Curse or gift unknown

But rocks crumble away

And you've had your day

Had your day

Had your day

Tumble right down

Death in vain

Descending down the mountain

To the baked and blazing sands bone dry

Smash your skull on impact wherein

Your blood shall fill the fountain so up high

On this trail of sins men roam

Seeking to beat their fate so hollow

Corpses line the bedrock festering and black

Their screams will haunt your dreams in a final vile flashback

Shade hides lost zeal since been

As you complete your plummet

The vultures begin to strip your carcass

Yet you can foresee your

Immortality pure

Curse or gift unknown

But rocks crumble away

And you stumble

See your immortality pure

Curse you can't atone for

A lurch in dismay

And you've had your day

Had your day

Tumble right down

Death in vain
