A moonlit pensive stroll

Planks creaking under footfall

Sullen sky of swirling space

Pale mist around the place

Gathered are living dead

By their own hand, sight was shed

Took a last look at the corpse of their love

Then they chose to see no more

Down at the docks

Where they took one last look

Then blind

Bleaching out their eyes

Down at the docks

Hanging from the wooden posts

Vast rows of bones in boxes

Pictures adorn these morbid crates

Partially submerged putrid graves

But as always in the night

Clump the ones they left behind

Blindly shuffling quest for peace

A hapless menagerie

Invisible witness

For this grim silent show

Born from a sickness

The ache for you to come home

In the world alone

Such a vile place

Can't bear to see another face

Till the end of time

Will be waiting

For the moment reunited

United

Down at the docks

Where they took one last look

Then blind

Bleaching out their eyes

Down at the docks
