[Intro]

Clean plates

No compost

We ate

Uh, uh

Hold on

[Verse]

Finally, I can wipe the sweat off my face

It's been a hell of a race but I reached the heavenly gates

The plate's clean, I've been eating off the dreams that I chase

But I'm awake like a speedboat's stealing the lake

Close the book filled with biblical imagery

And start a a new page ridden with cynical mystery

Both sides of my mind made up, no political intrigue

Canned myself, I was literally littering

Minerals in my living room sitting through

My miserable tangents and outlandish tantrums

"One day I'll be great" I said

They replied "Okay" and would just shake their heads

Now they bob them

Fishing for some compliments

Don't get hooked on that, you'll quickly hit martyrdom

Postpartum, conscience telling me to go harder

Late start, now we can see who's throwing stones farther

Abandoning commitments when they handed me a mission

Work for myself, lot's of damage when I'm listening to critics

Just a kid, some tell me that I'm gifted

But I was never present so it never made a difference

Used to imagine I was standing on a hill top

Life were just a peach, and college just a pit stop

Word cobbler, let the sauce drip off

First taller, tell them all to flip off

And the fit was so clean

Red shirt, Sketchers, sweatpants, the team

Marinara sauce stained on the T

Didn't matter, could've bled unseen

The best unstreamed, pencil lead to a dream

Lying in my bed repeating "Get to the dream"

Few hours later, few meds on the scene

Curtains, so I guess that's scene
