Twisting clouds rotating overhead like alligators rolling in a lake

Another moss-step forward as I’m treading toward my fate

On the living carpet scattered ‘round the ground

We don’t believe our eyes

Even when what they see is elevated

-A 4k resolution on the screen, which we call life

I think sideways, so all my calls hit like tidal waves

And that’s the neat thing!

There’s no absolution on this plane, which we call life

And that’s the neat thing!

Since we’re operating above two hundred and fifty-six color

That puts me twenty years obsolete

O’ it was just another routine complication

On the screen that we call life

Yeah, maybe that’s a flawed interpretation

But I’m done picking sides

A wind-flecked well in the clearing up ahead

It’s ominous, so it’s always wanting peace

I’ll take a dust-step forward

And be the moth without its wings

Its life could change with the toss of a single coin

Couldn’t believe my eyes

Surely, what I just saw was a work of fiction

-The 4k resolution on the screen, must have been a lie

I wished either way and let it fall like a tidal wave

And that’s the neat thing!

If it was truly fiction, what happened next would’ve been a lie

And that’s the neat thing!

I’m still operating at two hundred and fifty-six color

But I don’t feel so obsolete

O’ it was just another routine complication

On the screen that we call life

Yeah, maybe that’s a flawed interpretation

But I’m done picking sides...
