Paper cradle layered close

Stasis chamber old abode

Why if you swaddle to metamorphose

Do I feel confined to remain as I’ve known

Needle pinprick stab of pine

Reeling inward back of mind

Body beleaguered by gossamer fine

A hardly imaginal tether to bind

You’ll put your mind to the world

And watch it unfurling away

And you’ll put the world in a jar

Preserving in parts the absence of change

Longing insect soft and green

Stapled to the underleaf

Moult and devour a trifling reprieve

From certain unsureness to live and release

Drizzle faintly powder sky

Still forget when passing by

That sure as the gradient awash into night

These wings will unweed me when I'm fit to fly

You’ll put your mind to the world

And watch it unfurling away

And you’ll put the world in a jar

Preserving in parts the absence of change

Tell me my darling

Where have you gone

Schroedinger’s mothlet

To nightfall still drawn

Seasons restarting

Blooming anew

Onward tomorrow adieu
