[Verse 1]

Another shuttle from the airport B-Town the destination

My best verses these days seem to be compilations

Easy interaction opposite of complication

Is what I need in my life

Over tea we make conversation

You ask what I’m slated for

I can only hope for more

Than a mid-American job I spend years gaining rapport at

The conversation shifts to inequity

Where the poor at?

And how do you help?

Acknowledge everything real

It’s hard to do when you exist in a bubble

I gotta take a thousand showers just to get the blood off my hands

Soap falls into my eyes

There’s a pause I feel a sting

It’s nothing in comparison

I hysterically laugh

At everything I’ve enabled

I’ in love with a fable

Lost in a digital sea

I’m nothing without my cables

And boxes

To tell me where I’m at

And who I’m with

Where I’m going

What is this?

Is it real?

Do you exist?

Do you love?

What’s it like?

Are you in love with your life?

For what is that you fight?

What keeps you up at night?

I’m so good at posing questions I’ll never answer myself

Maybe it’s an extension of me never asking for help

Stubborn soul

But you have to be

Just to avoid the apathy

Observing the nation’s dilapidation mad casually

Second fall of Rome

We’re embracing it pretty passively

Or maybe I’m dramatic

Nah, everyday there’s tragedy

Thought it’s twisted I’m deriving good from in it

It’s truly a blessing to be on this plane of existence

Take hatred for what it is

Never run from well wishes

Love everyone

Suffering is the human condition
