Her heart was confused, torn by pain

When her world fell apart

She thought the unborn child was to blame

And her mind was all made up

She said she was a victim of circumstance

But the only victim would be the child conceived by chance

And her mind was all made up

With a heart like stone, she walked away

Didn't seem she really cared

That was when I heard somebody pray

My heart cried out when she slammed the door

It was easy to see that this would be a war

Fought on bended knees

Nothing left to say, nothing left to do

We could only believe that God would see the baby through

And we were down on bended knees

Only God could make a way

To soften this mother's heart

And I know He heard somebody pray

We prayed, "Lord, save this child

From the foolish wisdom of man

Lord, save this child, only You can

Only You can"

Whenever I see that young boy playing

So innocent and so unaware

I know the only reason he's alive today

Is because somewhere somebody prayed

Somebody prayed

Somebody prayed
