Growing up without the boundaries of Scripture

Had me in a pseudo sense of freedom

Fragments of my humanity in tact by His Grace

While perverted by the fallen nature, I encompass

Navigation limitеd without a trace to the Truth

Thought I had it but I didn't

Thought I could but I couldn't

Expression without a vеil

Them ones when you're in it, so you can't see beyond it

I'm talking the state of my soul

Speaking hindsight, I fear speaking what's current in time

In case, I ponder on Egypt like it was Eden

True meaning of born again

Walking, talking, joking, laughing, thinking, drinking

In the pursuit of holiness, I fell into legalism

Lost my humanity tryna play the saviour

Disciplined and stoic I can't seem to find the difference

Again, I'm talking in hindsight

Because where I'm at, is not where I was

Self righteousness on the tongue, easier than showing love

Exposure of my fallen nature, man I'm such a mess

Aspects of sincerity, would often breakthrough the surface

Simultaneously, clouded by the desire to be accepted
