Beast vs. Immortality

See as I start this

I fear its (?) I'm prone to darkness

But that's impossible because it's heartless

The hardships of an artist are by far this hardest

So says the alarmist

The sound will soothe the beast go get the harpist

And though it appears

That the beast at least will stop its feast to hear

But our fear has lost the function of atear(?)

Smell, sight, taste and touch are soon to follow

Siempre muy malo

In and out of sorrow mourning for tomorrow

See what the beast is missing is a brain

And without that to explain

Any attempt for senses tend to end in vain

So how do you teach a beast who can't be reached

With the intent to unleash havoc it's rabid and preys upon the weak

Since it's not man to kill him won't be a sin

But when speaking of life, please tell me the differences of mice and men

So you'll lock it up and consider it slain

And never see it again

Erase it from the rough terrain, remember a name 'cause

(Chorus)

Ignorance is bliss, ignorance is bliss

Cliches that fall from your lips like the subtle touch of a kiss

But then you ask yourself like "where's the bliss in this?"

When you've been left in the dark like an everlasting eclipse

Shit -- How do I end this war?

Caught in the middle of an endless war

Where humanity's mentality suffers the biggest casualty

Due to brutality of the beast versus immortality

See the beast is a metaphor for your competitor

That we swore four score and seven more we'd never let allure

The competitor that we hope will never more come back to settle score

But the more we would ignore the more it seemed to wage and mention war

It's not enough to defeat and delete it

You know they say if you don't know your history then you're doomed to repeat it

The beast is belligerence and difference, lack of self equivalence, hence the beast is ignorance

And you can sing

My goal is not to change the world

My goal is to spark the mind that will

The mind that knows its Achilles' Heal is real in principle

Yet still feels invincible

For death is only physical for minor minds at their pinnacle

'Cause in truth the fountain of youth lies on the tongue of the young

And as I quench their musical thirst they make sure I'm never forgotten

Simply by remembering a name

Who will remember yours?

Play your part
