Wasteland

I wish that moment had lasted an eternity

With which I could handle the creatures around me

Tearing the flesh from my skin

A martyr in mind but a coward in practice appears

Delivers a sermon that falls upon deaf ears

And nobody's ears but his own

But, I wish that I was not overcome

And worth redeeming

But everything I built was under the

Guise of a greater good

Is this even remorse?

I wish I’d thrown myself

Between their mangles teeth and my people

But I was partion to my skin

Now I've left you all

All alone

With a crack, they hit the ground

Like fallen angels all around me

The soundtrack was sickening

Then descended the vultures

Maddened with sickness and hunger alike

You all look to me as if I have an answer

Your Asprirer aspires for respite

And a vessel to harbor the night

Come on, look to me as if I have an answer

Your Denier denies you his right

Crash, it's all the same

Clawing at this foothold

Running in circles is growing insane

Over my dead fable

Running in circles is growing insane

(and getting your thoughts straight, inaner yet)

And I ran

Lef the turmoil behind me

How I ran

From the chaos of my craft

Please forgive me

I tried so hard to make a difference

Decompose here until the end

In wasteland

I am the bastard of this relm

I was a jester in a crown

My people’s remains above the ground

Cause I'm a coward

No! I buried you

When I was all you needed

Their misguided worship

A captain retreated

I'll outrun the day

I'll outrun today in cowardice
