K.R.I.T. is saying that a genie—a mystical spirit creature summoned from a lamp who will grant its finder 3 wishes—has already been granting his haters wishes but, because they are so narrow-minded (“petty”), they wasted all their wishes to see him fail (“wishing on my downfall”) and now they are irrelevant (“petty”).

“Genie is out of the bottle” is also an idiom for bringing something, generally information, out in the open and having no way to hide it anymore.

The most well-known genie in pop-culture is actor/comedian Robin Williams‘ portrayal in the 1992 animated Disney film, Aladdin.

Belly is a 1990s New York based drama film which stars DMX and Nas as a pair of street criminals. In the flick, Nas plays Sincere, one of the main protagonists who was characterized by his obsessive partying and violent personality. KRIT refers to the opening scene where Sincere and his crew rob a strip club.

A reference to his 2014 song “New Agenda”.

Allen Iverson damn near set the world on fire when he crossed-over Michael Jordan during a Bulls-76ers game in Philly in 1997. AI, who was a rookie at the time, dropped 37 points in that game and says MJ is still salty to this day.

Iverson’s actions are used to invoke the length of time K.R.I.T. has been in the rap game.

Snakes have always had an antagonistic figure, from Harry Potter, Conan the Barbarian, Aladdin and even the cover of the Future x Young Thug album “Super Slimey”. This archetype originated of course in Genesis 3 with the character of the serpent. It continues the biblical feel established in the album’s self-titled opener with lyrics like:

Yeah, I call that faith, this mouth of mine has turned down water for wine

A play on Cobra, referring to the Ford SVT Mustang Cobra, which includes a 5-speed manual (“clutch”) transmission, so K.R.I.T. is racing/working hard for his money (“meal ticket”).

Cobras are a venomous snake, as mentioned in the previous line.

Since K.R.I.T. likes using professional wrestling terms, Cobra Clutch also refers to a wrestling hold applied from behind and essentially causes the opponent to pass out using their own arm. This means he is holding onto that meal ticket—in this instance his rap career—for dear life until it runs out (passes out).

The move was famously used by Sgt. Slaughter in the 1980s and later by “The Million Dollar Man” Ted DiBiase who renamed it The Million Dollar Dream during the late 1980s and into the early 1990s.

He is consistently winning at making money. It’s not just a fluke or one time big “lick”. He’s made money for so long consistently, he can’t remember when the last time he couldn’t afford something he wanted.

This is another reference to “Egyptian Cotton” as well. Where KRIT describes how he’s enjoying the fruits of his labor.

“Confetti” is a plethora of tiny colorful pieces of paper being thrown at celebratory events such as the victory of a sporting championship or a parade. Instead of aiming for one measly win, K.R.I.T. wants consistent longevity as a winner.

Mt. Olympus is the highest mountain located in Greece and is also an ancient Greek mythological dwelling-place where Olympian gods would duel.

K.R.I.T. is asserting his dominance in Hip-Hop to where he is too high-esteemed to worry about what happens with other rappers who aren’t on his level.

Also, a reference to Big K.R.I.T.’s track titled “Mt. Olympus”.

A suplex is a wrestling technique where the wrestler lifts the opponent before slamming them on their back. Professional wrestler, Christopher Daniels actually has a finisher move titled, “Angel’s Wings.” Angel wings typically grow from the angel’s back. Most rappers like to show off their money and material possessions to make themselves feel good, as well as having the need to be accepted by others. Even though KRIT talks about doing some balling and flexing of his own, he still understands who he really is and that does not define him. Note the play on “wings” and “fly.”
