memory wipe

I thought only good dreams would come to me at night

‘Cause you said the nightmares couldn’t get to me

If I got up with the sunrise

So I found comfort in closing my eyes

But that deceives you, my eyelids were still see-through

I wish they’d stop telling me ‘hold on a little longer

What doesn’t kill you makes you stronger anyway’

I don’t know what you think I’m made of

But I could really use a day off

I promise I’ll stay out of your way

They say knowledge is power

But I’d rather know nothing at all

They say dreams fill your heart with desire

But how do I sleep after all I saw

Can you do a memory wipe

So I can revive the light that

Suffocated from this ache ohh (?)

I know you say it’s not worth it - I beg to differ

But come on, let’s go, shut up ‘cause you don’t know

Five four three - this is too much for me

Every time I think I move on there’s something that brings me right back to square one

It could be a book, a picture or even my own songs

I find no comfort in knowing this life is long

Just another opportunity for the world to have me begging on me knees

They say knowledge is power

But I’d rather know nothing at all

They say dreams fill your heart with desire

But how could I sleep after all I saw

Can you do a memory wipe

So I can revive the light that

Suffocated from this ache ohh?

I know you say it’s not worth it - I beg to differ

But come on, let’s go, shut up ‘cause you don’t know

I don’t need more therapy

No e and the r (?) didn’t work for me

Stop deciding what is best for me (yeah)

I don’t want these memories

No all I want is to find some peace

Take them away, take it all away

In five four three two—
