I have seen the world through eyes unpunished

I have felt the touch of god in my mind's eye

I have breathed an air so pure I was ravished

I have heard the anguish of those bleeding full of sin

I have felt the stones of those who won’t accept

I have gazed beyond these walls through heaven's parapet

I have heard the whispers of divinely secrets

I have touched those sacred words now carved into my chest

Staring into the morning light

Searching in the rays of the sun

For answers hidden from the night

A path to redemption

But now the fear has begun to set in

All strings have been cut and let loose from this mortal coil

Visions of what could have been

And finally ends all the doubt

That I will ever be able to cure

And like a martyr I end this life's bout

I have felt the movement of time within my soul

I have seen the attributes of God in nature’s mold

I have nurtured many questions and answered manifold

I have known myself to be a finitely ordered mode

I have looked my world and found a truth so bright

That echoes in these white halls filling all with dread and fright

I will preach the truth to all in the shadow of the night

I will remove from this world all the demons and their blight

But now the fear has begun to set in

Watch the light as it flows

Upon the rivers of our mind and into the unknown

The void of all sacrificed

And past memories

Of those brave souls who came denied before me

Into this hollow dream which burned the effigies

Of angel eyes who came to see and bleed

To speak their words for us to heed and seek

A new beginning to life's endless bleak

And guide us through into eternity

The tongue of seraphim will you now speak

Visions that glisten becoming clearer

With each pill I swallow further
