Time rings in my fear and begs me near

Her sharp silhouette appears

Sleepless harbingers across the stairwell

They bring nothingness back to where I dwell

Defiant ink smears tense

Silence at dusk, while I wade in consequence

Waves wash over, all ash and smoke

Since the day scorn brought us afloat…soaked in sin

Shimmers break in through this rusted cage

Words adorned with bursting sage

Lips careening madly towards a torn page

Yearning escape from my dreamscapes

These memories, these bloodshot ripples in symmetry

I cannot find stillness in this ache

Faded, distant you awake

Our creation, delving down amongst the dust

Walls wail hollow, your brazen deceit

A breach of trust, upon the jagged edge of treason

Ties that bind us fateful

Arms exposed left no choice

Protection, salvation

A soul's reason destroyed
