Capsized - Intellectual

My whole life consists of knowing that I'm consistently inconsistent

And it's eating me alive

I've been thrown to the rocks

Only to find my vessel capsized

Into a sea of emptiness

Life is an unforgiving tide

And if I knew then what I know now

But I am who I am

I must come to accept

That we are all conflicted

And we musntn't let our mistakes define us

I will prove that I'm strong

I must make a stand

Rescue me

Is this just the place where I lay my head

Or is this where I will remain

Now you know we've all done things

Most of which wouldn't make us proud

Don't leave me here

A victim to my thoughts

I know I'm worth saving

And it's a long way home

And I just can't seem to find

The place in my head

Where my thoughts and actions are made to intertwine

Take me away from this place
