Chain myself to a boulder and let the seabirds feast

On my organs until they grow back

But it's okay, cause I'm making the minimum wage

To survive even if it's not really enough

I don't need you to catch the poison dripping into my eyes every day

Because I've got a right to organize and get fired for it

To attempt to better things and get fired for it

It's always people over profit til the bottom line gets hit

Then it's starvation wages at the bottom of a pit

Growth over comfort so you can stuff your mouth with paper

And this bloatеd shambling corpse gets

Bigger with еach empty statement

A cancerous mess boiling over into dust

They don't think we can cooperate

They don't think we deserve any better

They don't think we're worth more than this

They don't think we can make any difference

But they're nothing without all the people they exploit

Authenticity is more important than image

Til I let it slip that I'm outside the system

Then it's time to plaster over all the cracks in my identity

Staple on some pronouns til the customer's alright

A ship of theseus for a list of employees
