[Intro: Brad Raney]

Lightning bolt moments

Where things have happened in my life and I can tell you that I changed

[Verse: abstract dak]

The talisman I wear

Keep it close as a reminder of the times we used to share

You were more than a provider

There's a stillness in the air now

I swore there was a sound

But if my hearing is impaired then why does silence feel so loud

Far from peace, every synapse firing

All the thoughts won't cеase, they just keep on spiraling

It's a long staircase, skull fracturеd on every step

Bruising on my face as they pull faster, I call for help

My pleas fell on all deaf ears

It seems the march never stops stealing all these years

The incorporeal culprit, nobody catching him

There's no forewarning, the light had already beckoned him

Time was wasted, opportunities missed

I kinda thought that I'd awaken going through all this shit

I need to - make a change, stop resisting and evolve

Get a grip but everything feel like it's slipping through my palms

A bit of cope because I know it's in my reach

But when I haven't felt provoked to try and act on what I speak, I just

Get complacent, lost track of my purpose

This thought pattern pervasive, the small cracks are converging

If all paths lead back to the same road

I guess somehow I took the path that allowed me to stay home

We moved house, some possessions still remain

But so much history was lost to the receptors in my brain

How many lessons still remain?

The cost of living day to day is more than I can take

I fought to try and change this state of mind but I can't break it

These habits have been cemented

Arguments in my brain over parts of me I resented

I pace the halls filled with relics left behind

If I had to make a choice I think I know what I'd decide

I'd give it all away if you could guide me once again

The talisman can never capture what it tries to represent

[Outro: Gideon Wagner]

Like the great, giant Christopher it stands

Upon the brink of the tempestuous wave
