[Verse 1]

I’m in a conversation I’m not invested in

I feel weird the recipient should be next of kin

She’s sending messages but I’ve gotten less than ten

Let’s begin, stuck in a conversation

She keeps going on and on verbatim

Words flow through I don’t know what she’s saying

Day in and day out, I talk with this girl

I help her get through the turmoil, turning point

In her life. I don’t want to soil her strife

But I could boil her problems into one column

Being too apprehensive what I call ‘em

Not depression, just being pensive, hence

[Hook]

There’s soft jazz playing in the background

Her voice is muffled just sounds

I know I should focus on her now

But I don’t really care about her well-being now she’s yelling

[Verse 2]

She’s too solemn to try to solve them

Call it what you will I choose to call for more help

I’ve waited too long she’s gotten sore welts

Her friends won’t respond they’ve gotten sore as well

Noticed she won’t soar so left her on the floor

But they don’t see how much left she has in store

And as she pours her heart out, I see it’s more art now

Her articulation is in part a mix of patience

I cannot imagine what she’s facing

Probably agitation matched with pacing back and forth

A grape raisin raised to a torch

Shriveled up, old

Eaten up whole

I think I’ve seen enough, whoa

[Outro]

There’s soft jazz playing in the background

Her voice is muffled, just sounds
