[Verse 1]

Uh ok, time to do homework

When I eat dinner why am I such a loner

Sit at a table as I wait for what I ordered

Earbuds in but I don’t hear nothing

Wishing I would run into a friend I look around

Fear and hope in my eyes but my mouth frowns

And I only got ten friends so, statistically, it’s obvious our schedule don’t match and they’re missing me and don’t sit with me

But I got the internet

And I’ll make new friends just haven’t met them yet

Was gonna invite but never sent the text

Should’ve followed my last song went to bed

And slept the stress away, forget today, anyway

I got a focus on the moment and this homework

But I’m feeling squeezed like a frozen Go-Gurt

My toe hurts but I stand straight like a soldier

[Hook]

College got me plucking at my heartstrings

I always underestimate hard things

Imagine Aarow having fun at parties

Or having the guts to just go start things

[Verse 2]

Weeknights, I just do homework and study

I think that’s what other people do but I’m nutty

I assume they invited everybody but me

As if the whole Oregon campus is ducking

Fuck

Fucking

Autocorrect knows me best

I sit in this room at my desk, listen to music, feel depressed

Critiquing myself because Aarow can’t compare though

I listen to rappers and try not to copy their flow

Oh, that's right, I got homework, dog

Easily distracted as soon as my phone turns on

Always on GarageBand going over songs

I do WebWork at 10:30 'til my head hurts

I’m wearing the same shirt that I slept in

Hoping that those messes turn into life lessons

And it’s funny 'cause overnight I lost my oversight

And apparently my ability to know what’s right

[Hook]

College got me plucking at my heartstrings

I always underestimate hard things

Imagine Aarow having fun at parties

Or having the guts to just go start things
