Division

There’s a whole lot of divisiveness

Now they dismissin this

I’m talkin bout division with the religiousness

Where my church has become a political cartoon

Carton of tons of cars preying on one dude

Will they trump the other

Will they all fall

Like Rome?

Or will they bring themselves down, RCA Dome?

And where they arguin like we ain’t come from the same God

And still at war with a brother, sorta find it odd

How kids can see what the grown can’t

That’s the truth

Gospel of Jesus Christ

That’s the truth

Prayin for another while they preying on each other like

Pain with division

Prayin on precision

Lord, send us an answer quick!

All these thoughts and emotions making me sick!

And they turn the cheek but only when there’s people in need

Wish they could see past the difference and see the Jesus in me

Fighting for what’s right and what’s right is our unity

Just stop, we’re in the land of opportunity

Opportune feelings is what they don’t know

They just see political and then they don’t grow

Thought I had some friends, but I guess it’s a foe

Thought this was really real, I guess it’s just faux

Upbeat beat with some sad true words

We won’t support each other, but we’ll throw bread at the birds

Changin limitations, what we can and can’t say

Put the positive first, now the negative’s out the way

I don’t know how we choose sides and bash

But don’t donate to the homeless who dine and dash

Y’all soft, you just leave when things get hard

If life was life that, then I’d let down my guard

Changin “what’s up” to just puttin you down

Trumpin all the Russians cause they Putin you down

Most of y’all now don’t pray, just wishin

And that’s my problem with the division of Christians
