Ight, Ight so um...I wanna ask you this...

At what point or at what age do you feel a connection with, like, god at a more consistent level became a priority to you?

If I had to pick anytime, I would say that when I was fourteen, my grandmother would go to church with me

Or I would go to church with her

And...I just could imagine certain things the way it was and how thing how things went in your life

And I told myself at a young age that there has to be a god to explain the wonderful things that happen in your life

That there's no other entity

That being said, there's a lot of people that, you know, as great things happen to them, and the slightest wrong thing will happen to them and they will not see the glory of God through the whole thing

Um...Later on, when I went to college, I can say that I lost my way

I was, you know, hanging out with folks that I probably shouldn't have been hanging with

And nothing against those folks cause I was a grown adult at the time

And I lost focus on god

And I had to get in trouble a few times before I saw where God was and, you know, get back into his grace and put as a priority in my life

Um, I just see different. things I've been through and to be here today at age fifty, I can definitely say that God has been a blessing in my life

Um, even going further than my college years

I was still going through some legal issues

Some other issues, some, um, some manship issues about being a man

And holding your head up and taking responsibility and things like that (Yeah)

And the bible helped me to, uh, make a decision to stand up as a man and not coward down and waste my life

The next time that I took even more of a hold of god's hand

I never let it go after I recovered from the college thing

I don't even think I've recovered from the college thing yet

*Both Laugh*

Even though I've been out of college for twenty-eight years, I don't think I've recovered from that fully

I always think that, you know, had I not messed up, I could've been further ahead but, you know

We are where we are because of the grace of God and we need not to throw salt on that at all but, um

Right after you were born, I um, and

I even have it written down in my script that I want to raised Samuel in a Christian like manner and show him what true Christian manhood is (Yeah)

So I had to, you can't teach something that you don't know so I decided to read more

Read more of my verses, I read, you see I read my daily verses every day

I pray

I, um, meditate and things like that to get a closer bond with God, and a lot of times I ask God to give me guidance to give you guidance

So you can be a better man and that's where I am with my relationship with God (Ok)
